TBILISI (AA) – A celebration program was organized in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha by the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi. The program, hosted by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tbilisi Mustafa Türker Arı, was held in the Embassy building. Embassy employees, mission representatives of foreign countries, Muslim clergy, Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) officials who were in Georgia for the holiday, Turkish citizens living in Tbilisi, representatives of Turkish institutions in Georgia and other guests attended the celebration in the evening.
In his speech here, Ambassador Arı stated that he started working in Georgia about 2 months ago and that he celebrated Eid al-Adha with Turkish citizens here for the first time. Stating that he was very happy to celebrate Eid al-Adha with the Turkish community here and the Tbilisi ambassadors of different countries, Arı said, “I am truly honored to come together on the occasion of this holiday. he said. Arı congratulated everyone on Eid al-Adha, stating that it has become a tradition to celebrate Eid al-Adha with citizens every year at the Embassy and that they will continue this.
After Ambassador Arı’s speech, dinner was served to the guests.
