Good News of Free Public Transportation Special for Eid-al-Adha in Istanbul!

While there are only a few days left until Eid al-Adha, citizens in many cities are wondering whether public transportation will be free or not, a statement came from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In its statement, IMM stated that all municipal public transportation vehicles will provide free service between 27-30 May, so that citizens can travel peacefully and safely in the city during the holiday. Accordingly, Metro Istanbul will apply the Sunday tariff on the lines on the first day of the holiday.

On other days, service will be provided on a Saturday schedule. Night metro service will continue uninterruptedly on the lines where the night metro operates, on the nights from Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday. ADDITIONAL FLIGHTS MAY BE ORGANIZED IETT, Metro Istanbul and City Lines will organize additional trips if needed. In addition, IETT announced that it will provide service to 15 separate lines for sacrifice sales and slaughter points in Alibeyköy, Ferhatpaşa and Paşaköy, so that citizens can easily reach the sacrifice sales and slaughter areas.

TM11-Yeşilpınar-Alibeyköy, TM17-Sultangazi-Alibeyköy, TM6-Mevlana-Alibeyköy, TM8-Akşemsettin-Alibeyköy lines for Alibeyköy Sacrifice Sales and Slaughtering Area, 14KS-Sultanbeyli Gölet-Kozyatağı Metro for Ferhatpaşa Sacrifice Sales and Slaughtering Area, 18UK-Uzundere-Kozyatağı, 19YK-Yenidoğan-Kayışdağı, 320A-Sultanbeyli Mimarsinan/Samandıra-Üsküdar, 320Y-Yenidoğan-Kozyatağı Metro lines can be used. Dr. Feriha Öz Hospital can be reached via UM74-Sultanbeyli State Hospital/Necip Fazıl Metro-Dudullu OSB, SM6-Sultanbeyli State Hospital-Samandıra Central Metro line. Istanbulites will be able to reach Paşaköy Sacrifice Sales and Slaughter Zone via 332M Sultanbeyli-Mimar Sinan-Kartal Metro-Cevizli and Samandıra-Central Metro lines. On the other hand, it was stated that the KRB-3 Pendik-Kurnaköy line started to serve the Pendik-Kurnaköy Sacrifice Market as of May 20.
