While operations regarding illegal betting continue, Akın Gürlek announced in his post on his social media account that illegal betting operations were organized in 20 provinces, including Antalya, and 180 suspects were detained in these operations. In this regard, two major operations were carried out at dawn today against illegal betting organizations targeting the future of our children and our financial security. Under the leadership of our Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and as a result of the meticulous work of our police department for months, 139 operations were carried out in 20 cities. In the simultaneous operation carried out with the participation of the team, legal action was taken against 180 suspects with a transaction volume exceeding 11.3 billion lira in their accounts.

In the operation carried out by our gendarmerie under the coordination of our Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the organized crime network that laundered the revenues of illegal betting sites with foreign connections was collapsed. 50 suspects with a transaction volume of 7 billion lira were caught. All assets of the suspects, including luxury cars and real estate acquired from illegal betting, were confiscated.
