ŞANLIURFA (AA) – 8 people who had a picnic on the banks of the Euphrates River in Şanlıurfa and were stranded as a result of the rise of the water were rescued.
8 people who had a picnic by the water near the foothills of the Karababa Bridge on the Şanlıurfa-Adıyaman highway were stranded on the islet formed by the rise of the water in the Euphrates River.
Gendarmerie teams, who were dispatched to the region upon notice, evacuated 8 stranded people from the islet they were on, via fishing boats in the region.
While there was no loss of life or injury in the incident, citizens were asked to be careful near the water.
