BATTAMBANG (AA) – Muslims welcomed Eid al-Adha with enthusiasm in the Battambang province of the Southeast Asian country of Cambodia. Citizens gathered in the Nuru Islam Mosque and mosque courtyard in Battambang and lined up for the Eid prayer. Muslims came to the mosque in the early hours of the morning wearing their local clothes and prayed for the Eid prayer. Colorful images were created in the mosque courtyard, where the joy of the holiday was felt.
Giving a sermon after the prayer, the mosque imam informed the congregation about the importance of Eid al-Adha and the understanding of brotherhood and cooperation in Islam. After the prayer, citizens celebrated. On the other hand, officials who came to Battambang for the sacrifice and distribution of the animal by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Turkish Religious Foundation also performed the Eid prayer and prayed.
