ANKARA (AA) – Rainy weather will prevail throughout the country during Eid al-Adha. Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change General Directorate of Meteorology Weather Forecast Expert Fevzi Burak Tekin made evaluations about the weather of the week including Eid al-Adha. Stating that according to the latest evaluations, showers and thunderstorms are expected in most of the country in the next 4-day period, Tekin said that partly and slightly cloudy weather will prevail in most of Turkey tomorrow.

Stating that rain will be effective in the inner parts of the Southern Aegean, Western Mediterranean and Eastern Black Sea and around Iğdır and Kars tomorrow, Tekin stated that the country will enter a new rainy system on Thursday, which coincides with the second day of the holiday. Stating that the rains will continue on Thursday in the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, and the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, Tekin said, “We estimate that the rains will be heavy, especially in the surroundings of Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, Niğde, Kayseri, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Erzurum, Erzincan and Tunceli on Thursday.

“One should be careful against sudden floods, floods, lightning, wind and transportation disruptions that may be caused by heavy rains.” he said. Stating that rains will be effective all over the country except Thrace and Istanbul on Friday, Tekin emphasized that the rains will be especially heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Eastern Black Sea. Tekin noted that on the last day of the holiday, the rainy system will affect the northern parts of the country and then leave the country.

Stating that the air temperatures will remain within seasonal norms throughout the holiday, Tekin said, “On Friday, they will drop below seasonal norms in some places in the northern, central and eastern parts of our country.” he said. – Weather in 3 metropolitan cities Tekin stated that partly cloudy weather will prevail in the capital tomorrow, and that the rains will be seen on Thursday and Friday and then will leave the city.

Tekin said that the temperatures in Ankara will remain at 22-25 degrees for 4 days. Stating that partly cloudy weather will prevail in Istanbul tomorrow, Tekin said, “There will be rain throughout Istanbul on the second day of the holiday. “Temperatures will remain around 23-26 degrees for 4 days.” he said. Stating that sunny weather will be effective in the coastal areas of Izmir tomorrow and rain will be seen in the inner parts of the city, Tekin noted that the temperatures will be 28-30 degrees for 4 days.
