AMD has released AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.5.1 driver for Radeon graphics cards. The new version, available as WHQL Recommended, adds support for five games, fixes some game issues seen in the Radeon RX 9000 series, and lists known issues for Battlefield 6, RoadCraft and Satisfactory. The driver package is available on AMD’s download page as Adrenalin 26.5.1 WHQL Recommended. The package size appears to be 818 MB and the release date is May 6, 2026. AMD’s automatic detection and installation tool is also available on the same date. With the new version, game support has been added for PRAGMATA, Honor of Kings: World, INDUSTRIA 2, Tides of Tomorrow and MONGIL: STAR DIVE. Thus, Radeon users will be able to run these games with the new driver profile.
The update can be downloaded directly, especially for users who are preparing for new games. Adrenalin 26.5.1 does not only come with new game support. AMD has fixed the intermittent stutter issue that could be seen in Resident Evil Requiem’s “Raccoon City” map on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. In the same version, the image distortion problem that could occur when playing God of War on Radeon RX 9000 series cards was also fixed.
Known problems are also clearly stated in the release notes. Intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts may occur on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 while playing Battlefield 6. When using AMD Record and Stream in Battlefield 6, texture flickering or image distortion may occur on some AMD graphics products. While playing Battlefield 6 on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards, even if AMD FSR Upscaling and AMD FSR Frame Generation are enabled, they may appear to be disabled in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.
There are also separate warnings for RoadCraft and Satisfactory. Intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts may occur when playing RoadCraft on Radeon RX 9000 series products. While playing Satisfactory, image distortion may occur on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. AMD recommends using AMD Cleanup Utility if reverting to an older AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition version. The driver is not designed for AMD Radeon products running on Apple Boot Camp; Users on this platform must use drivers provided by the system manufacturer.
An administrator account or administrator privileges on the Windows side is also required for installation. In the compatibility list, Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9060 series, Radeon RX 7900, RX 7800, RX 7700, RX 7650 and RX 7600 series, Radeon RX 6900, RX 6800, RX 6700, RX 6600, RX There are 6500 and RX 6400 series and Radeon RX 5700, RX 5600, RX 5500 and RX 5300 series graphics cards. On the mobile side, Radeon RX 7900M, RX 7800M and RX 7600M series, Radeon RX 6800M, RX 6700M, RX 6600M, RX 6500M and RX 6300M. series; Radeon RX 5700M, RX 5600M, RX 5500M and RX 5300M series are on the support list. Radeon PRO W6600M and Radeon PRO W5500M are also on the mobile compatibility list. AMD states that this package is a reference graphics driver for laptops and may offer limited support for some manufacturer-specific features.
On the Radeon Graphics side of AMD processors, integrated graphics solutions that come with Ryzen, Ryzen PRO, Athlon and Athlon PRO processors are also within the scope of support. On the mobile side, Radeon Graphics, which comes with Ryzen AI series processors, and Radeon Graphics, which comes with Ryzen, Ryzen PRO, Athlon and Athlon PRO processors, are on the list. AMD states that on laptops and all-in-ones, system manufacturer-provided drivers are better suited for device-specific features and optimizations.
Portable gaming devices in the handheld console class were not included in this package; Drivers provided by the manufacturer should be used on these devices. Adrenalin 26.5.1 is prepared for Windows 11 version 21H2 and later and Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 and later. In the package, the driver with version number 26.10.07.01 for Windows 10 and Windows 11 is included in the Windows Driver Store with number 32.0.31007.1017.
Additionally, another driver package with version number 25.10.43.07 is listed as 32.0.21043.7012 on the Windows Driver Store. The package also includes Ryzen AI NPU MCDM Driver version 32.00.0203.329.
