MUĞLA (AA) – Barış Göktürk, who withdrew from his candidacy for Fenerbahçe Club president and was on Aziz Yıldırım’s list, met with congress members and fans in Bodrum district of Muğla. Göktürk made statements about the general assembly process and projects at the program held in a hotel in the district. Answering the questions of fans and congress members, Göktürk stated that they only want unfair competition to be prevented and fair competition to be ensured on the field, and stated that he wholeheartedly believes that Aziz Yıldırım will definitely achieve this this year.
Göktürk, in his statement to the AA correspondent at the end of the meeting, said: “Hopefully, Mr. Aziz Yıldırım will be the president of Fenerbahçe again. He will end the 12-year interregnum and ensure that Fenerbahçe becomes the champion in its 120th year. It combines youth and experience. We are coming with dynamism. We are recruiting two centre-forwards. Everyone should be at ease, we are building a very good squad.
With the right football mentality, we will guarantee Fenerbahçe’s future years.” he said. Göktürk, accompanied by Volkan Akan and Savaş Adalet, who were among the reserve members on Yıldırım’s list, took photos with the participants.
