ERZURUM (AA) – Erzurum Governor Aydın Baruş met with the gendarmes on duty at the police stations in Şenkaya district on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Governor Baruş visited Şenkaya Karıncadüzü and Akşar Gendarmerie Station Commands on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and congratulated the gendarmerie personnel on duty. Narman District Governor Erkan Adıbelli, who is acting as Şenkaya District Governorate, and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Hakan Uğurlu were also present during the visit.
Chatting with the Turkish soldiers and wishing them ease in their duties, Baruş thanked the gendarmerie personnel who worked day and night for the peace and security of the citizens in the most extreme points of Erzurum, under the most difficult conditions. Governor Baruş used the following statements: “We are very proud to see that you have served with great sacrifice and dedication for the peace of our homeland and the security of our nation.
It is beyond all praise that you fulfill this sacred duty by staying away from your homeland, families and loved ones, even on holidays. I express my gratitude to each of you for the sacrifice, perseverance and effort you have shown. May God bless you all. May God not waste your efforts.”
