SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair is held at Istanbul Expo Center with the organization of SAHA Istanbul, Turkey’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster. Turkish defense industry companies are signing various agreements at SAHA 2026, where Anadolu Agency is the global communication partner. In this context, Baykar signed an automated assembly line contract with robotic solutions with the Italian company Gruppo Esea.
The signatures on the contract were made by Haluk Bayraktar and Gruppo Esea Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alessandro Liberatore. In his speech at the ceremony, Bayraktar stated that the agreement they made with Gruppo Esea is an agreement for the establishment of mass production lines of the unmanned aerial vehicle technologies they have developed, and said, “There will be a robotic production line that will support the production of these technologies in higher quantities, more cost-effectively and in a more standardized way.
I hope it will be beneficial for our country.” he said. Liberatore also stated that they are proud to be Baykar’s strategic partner in such an important field and stated that this contract is also a proof of the cooperation between Türkiye and Italy. Baykar also signed a contract with EDGE Group, a group of defense and aerospace companies from the United Arab Emirates. The signed contract covers the integration of AL TARIQ precision guided munitions into Bayraktar AKINCI.
The signatures on the contract were made by Haluk Bayraktar and EDGE Group CEO Hamad Al Marar. Another memorandum of understanding was signed between Baykar and the French company Safran Electronics and Defense regarding strategic cooperation in aviation electronics and electronic solutions. The agreement was implemented with the signatures of Haluk Bayraktar and Safran Electronics and Defense Deputy General Manager Alexandre Ziegler.
