SARAJEVO (AA) – Balkan Expo 2026, the international food, beverage and agriculture fair held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, opened its doors to its visitors.

The fair, which is held in a congress center in Sarajevo and will continue until June 6, brings together the food, beverage, agricultural technologies, processing and packaging sectors under one roof. At the fair organized by Go Fair D.o.o and held by Türkiye’s national participation organization So Fuar AŞ, participants from Egypt, Germany, China and Spain, as well as Turkish companies, opened stands.

In the organization, where the total number of participants exceeds 100 companies, many product groups, especially food products, beverages, agricultural technologies, industrial kitchen equipment and packaging solutions, are introduced to the Balkan market. Organizers expect professional visitors and industry representatives from the Balkan countries, Europe, the Middle East and Türkiye to attend the fair. Sercan Çalto, one of the coordinators of Balkan Expo 2026, said in his statement to the AA correspondent that bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye have always been at the highest level.

Stating that they are working on the food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Çalto said, “When we visit the markets, we observe that our tastes are almost identical. I predict that after this fair, Turkish origin products will appear on the shelves of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding Balkan countries much more frequently. This will be one of the developments that will make us very happy after the fair. he said.

Çalto added that the main purpose of the fair is to raise the economic relations between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the highest level. The fair also aims to establish new collaborations through sectoral meetings between participating companies and local companies. The opening of the event was attended by high-level officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations and many guests.
