Environmental awareness was raised with seabed cleaning in Tekirdağ

TEKİRDAĞ (AA) – A seabed cleaning event was held in Tekirdağ within the scope of Türkiye Environment Week.

In the event organized by Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change with the theme that the coasts we clean today will be inherited by our children tomorrow, divers from the Provincial Police Department Sea Port Branch Directorate cleaned the seabed at Süleymanpaşa Fishing Shelter.

During the study, car tires, nets, iron pipes, chairs, boat parts, glass and plastic bottles and various household waste were removed from the sea.

The collected waste was exhibited at the entrance of the fishing harbor to draw attention to environmental pollution.
