ÇANKIRI (AA) – Letters and video messages that Çankırı High School 12th grade students wrote to themselves and buried in the ground 4 years ago were unearthed. Under the leadership of Çankırı High School English teacher Hasan Emin Çelik, the “Letter to the Future” event was held with the 9th grade students of the period 4 years ago. As part of the event, students wrote letters in which they described their expectations for high school life, their goals and hopes for the future, their friendships and their educational lives.

Some students uploaded the video messages they prepared for their future selves onto flash drives. Letters and video messages placed in plastic bottles were unearthed after 4 years and delivered to their owners. Graduating students excitedly read the letters they wrote years ago and watched the video messages. Students had the opportunity to compare the dreams they had and the goals they set in the past with the point they have reached today.
