Following these developments, the Ministry took action and announced that drinking water will be provided free of charge at 58 airports across the country. It was stated that the service in question will be valid in check-in halls, purified passenger areas, waiting areas and arrival and departure lounges.

It was noted that the installation has been completed in 14 airports, the order, manufacturing and installation processes are continuing in 32 airports and the application will be implemented in a short time. THE NUMBER OF WATER DISPENSERS WILL BE INCREASED While the application is expected to be widespread in all airports, it was stated that the number of water dispensers will be increased in areas with high passenger density.

Thus, it is aimed to prevent passengers from having to buy high-priced drinks. While experts stated that this practice was an appropriate step, they pointed out that additional regulations were needed to reduce exorbitant prices at all airports across Türkiye.
