Logitech has released the new Logi Options update for the MX series for professional users. With the innovations added to the Logi Options application, a more integrated use is offered between MX keyboard and mouse models. The update covers both existing MX users and new users. The most notable part of the update was the Improved Easy Switch. This feature ensures that when the MX Keys S or MX Keys Mini keyboard is switched to a different computer, the MX mouse automatically follows the same transition. Thus, the need to reconnect the keyboard and mouse separately is eliminated.
The user can switch multiple devices to different computers at the same time with a single click. The improved Easy Switch works compatible with Logi Bolt devices. MX Keys S and MX Keys Mini models currently support this feature. The necessary update for MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini models will be released in the summer. Logitech Türkiye Category and Marketing Director Cihan Önal said that the update was shaped by the feedback from the MX community.
Önal stated that the new features offer a structure that simplifies the workflow of advanced users and adds new usage options to the MX ecosystem. Action Ring has also spread throughout the MX product family with this update. The feature is now available on MX Master 4, MX Master 3S, MX Anywhere 3S, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini, MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini models. Action Ring collects frequently used shortcuts and commands under a single interface.
With the new Action Ring Folders feature, digital shortcuts can be organized in nested folders. This structure creates a more organized workspace for professionals who use a large number of commands. Especially users who frequently switch between different applications can group commands by subject or application. The updated icon editor also allows you to create special styles for Action Ring and MX Keypad. Users can apply the icon designs they have prepared to all devices with a single click.
Thus, in the MX ecosystem, personalization options are not limited to key assignments. Logitech also offers new productivity plug-ins for free via Logi Marketplace with the update. These add-ins provide direct access to frequently used application commands via the Action Ring. Microsoft Office add-in; It brings additional control options when navigating Excel tables, formatting Word documents and managing PowerPoint presentations.
In this way, basic operations in Office applications become more quickly accessible via MX devices. The Notion desktop add-on offers special controls for content management. These controls, used via LCD screens or digital menus, carry the editing and management processes in Notion to the MX ecosystem. The Slack plugin also focuses on the communication side. Users can perform operations such as starting Huddle, switching between workspaces and managing message flows with a single touch.
