A new operation was carried out within the scope of the investigation carried out against Üsküdar Municipality in Istanbul. It was reported that 7 people were detained as part of the second wave of ongoing investigations regarding allegations of irregularities and bribery in construction projects.
A simultaneous operation was organized against the suspects within the framework of the work carried out by the Istanbul Police Department’s Financial Crimes Fighting Branch Directorate teams under the coordination of the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
It was stated that in the investigation, allegations that irregular transactions were carried out in some construction projects within the municipality and that a bribery network was created were evaluated.
It was stated that the procedures of the detained suspects at the police station are continuing and the investigation continues in many aspects.
