KASTAMONU (AA) – 130 cauldrons of rice with meat were served to the participants in the century-old holiday pilaf event, which has been held for 134 years in Bozkurt district of Kastamonu. In the program held in Bozkurt Square on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, pilaf with meat, made in 130 cauldrons using 1250 kilograms of rice and 650 kilograms of meat, was distributed to the citizens by the municipality staff. The event, which attracted great interest from citizens, lasted approximately 3 hours.
Bozkurt Mayor Muammer Yanık, in his speech here, congratulated the residents of the district on Eid al-Adha and said, “Welcome to our traditional rice feast, which has been inherited from our ancestors from past to present. We will continue to pass on this tradition to future generations. he said. AK Party Kastamonu Provincial Chairman Ahmet Sevgioğlu thanked those who contributed to the organization. Citizens had fun accompanying the drum and pipe team during the event.
