Stellantis announced its new five-year strategy plan called FaSTLAne 2030. The company is reshaping its product range with an investment of 60 billion euros, more than 60 new vehicle launches and 50 major renewals until 2030. In the European leg of the plan, the affordable electric city car to be produced in the Pomigliano d’Arco factory in Italy stands out. Stellantis is repositioning its brands, including Fiat and Peugeot, with the new plan.
Stellantis announced its new strategy plan at the investor meeting held in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA. The company’s new road map; It was founded on the reorganization of the brand portfolio, investment in global platforms, new power transmission systems, technology partnerships, more efficient use of production capacity and more authority for regional teams. Within the scope of FaSTLAne 2030, Stellantis will invest 60 billion euros until 2030.
During this period, more than 60 new vehicle launches and 50 significant renewals of existing models will be launched. Product plan; It consists of 29 fully electric models, 15 plug-in hybrid or range-extending electric models, 24 hybrid models and 39 models with internal combustion or mild hybrid powertrain. The company’s investment priority is concentrated in four global brands. Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat were positioned as Stellantis’ brands with the largest scale and highest profitability potential.
These brands, together with the commercial vehicle unit Pro One, will receive 70 percent of the brand and product investments within the scope of the plan. Chrysler, Dodge, Citroën, Opel and Alfa Romeo were positioned as regional brands. DS and Lancia will be managed by Citroën and Fiat with a private brand structure. Two new E segment vehicles are planned for Maserati. The brand’s detailed product road map will be shared in Modena in December 2026.
Stellantis is opening a special area for affordable electric vehicles in its European operations. The new generation small electric vehicle project, announced by the company under the name E-Car, will be produced in the Pomigliano d’Arco factory in Italy starting from 2028. It was announced that these vehicles will be developed for the European market and will focus on urban use. According to the information provided by Euronews, the price in this new segment is expected to be below 15 thousand euros.
On the Fiat side, five new vehicles and three mobility solutions are included in the plan. New products include a three-wheeled model, a four-seater version of Topolino, the new electric 500, the Fiat logo version of the E-Car to be produced in Pomigliano d’Arco, and the Grizzly SUV that will complete the Panda and Grande Panda family. In addition, a new concept “family mover” model has been added to the product calendar for 2029.
Seven new models are being prepared by Peugeot. Citroën will also expand its product range with the same number of new models. Citroën’s plan also includes the new electric 2CV, which carries traces of the original design. These models will increase Stellantis’ product range in Europe, especially in the compact and accessible electric car class. Stellantis also shortens product development time. The company has added to its plan to reduce the development cycle, which is up to 40 months today, to 24 months.
To reduce this time, global platforms, common power transmission systems and software architectures will be used more intensively. STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit and STLA AutoDrive technologies will be put into operation in 2027. In 2030, 35 percent of global annual production volume will include at least one of these technologies. The company will invest more than 24 billion euros in global platforms, powertrain systems and new technologies in the next five years.
By 2030, 50 percent of global annual production volume will be produced on three main global platforms. One of these platforms will be the new STLA One architecture, developed with a focus on cost and common parts use. In Stellantis’ new plan, production capacity is also rearranged. In Europe, capacity will be reduced by more than 800 thousand vehicles; Some facilities, such as Poissy, will be used for different purposes, while partnerships and capacity sharing will be activated in points such as Madrid, Zaragoza and Rennes.
The company included its plan to increase the capacity utilization rate in Europe from 60 percent to 80 percent in 2030. North America was the largest investment area of the plan. Stellantis allocates 60 percent of the 36 billion euros allocated for brand and product investments to this region. A 25 percent revenue increase, 8 to 10 percent AOI margin, 50 percent broader market coverage, 11 completely new vehicles and 35 percent more volume are planned for the region.
Seven new products under 40 thousand dollars and two new models under 30 thousand dollars were added to the North American product calendar. The company also has a separate program on the cost side. The structure, called the Value Creation Program, was designed to provide an annual cost reduction of 6 billion euros until 2028. Stellantis will use artificial intelligence more in production, software, quality and operation processes.
According to the company’s statement, more than 120 artificial intelligence applications are active in operations today. On the Asia-Pacific side, Stellantis will implement a growth model based on a lighter asset structure with strategic partnerships. It has been announced that Tata Motors will provide a competitive platform for a new Jeep model to be developed and produced in India. The company will use local partnerships in both product development and export in its China and Asia-Pacific operations.
