GAZİANTEP (AA) – Gaziantep Wildlife Park, which is Turkey’s largest and one of the world’s leading zoos, experiences a high density of visitors during the Eid al-Adha holiday. There are approximately 8 thousand animals from 350 species in the park, which was established on an area of approximately 1 million square meters in Burç Forest by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality in 2001. The park, which hosts visitors from many parts of Turkey, especially the surrounding provinces, was crowded due to the holiday.

Metropolitan Municipality Head of Natural Life Conservation Department, Celal Özsoyler, said in a statement to journalists that they aim to host 100 thousand visitors during the 9-day holiday. Stating that the park is crowded, Özsoyler said: “17-18 thousand people visit our park daily. It attracts great interest, especially for children, to see the animals they see in books and magazines alive here. We host a lot of visitors from neighboring provinces as well as neighboring countries.

Ebru Evyapan, who said they came from Izmir, stated that they liked the zoo very much. Adem Altıntop also stated that they had a pleasant time with their children.
