ISTANBUL (AA) – World-famous rap artist Kanye West met with music lovers for the first time in Istanbul. The concert, considered one of the biggest music events of the year, was held at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in cooperation with the NTRteam organization. Thousands of visitors from many countries, including Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Poland and Middle Eastern countries, came to Istanbul for the concert.

Approximately 118 thousand listeners attended the concert, which attracted great interest, and the stadium was filled hours before. While West started the concert with the song Father, he chose the song Stronger as the last song in his repertoire. West, who performed continuously on the globe for approximately 2 hours, sang the popular songs of his career, including King, Runaway, Power, Flashing Lights, Heartless, Black Skinhead, All The Love and Homecoming.

The audience accompanied the artist by both singing and dancing. Applause and cheers echoed in the stadium from time to time throughout the concert. One of the striking elements of the concert was the stage design shaped in the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium performances. The giant hemispherical stage installed in the center of the stadium was transformed into a giant world model with high-definition projection technology.

In the performance supported by intense light shows, fog effects and synchronized visuals, thousands of people filling the stadium turned on the lights of their mobile phones and accompanied the stage. The cluster of lights formed in the stands and on the field created impressive images in the concert area. Also, among the famous names who came to watch the concert were actors Şükrü Özyıldız, Alina Boz, Umut Evirgen, Nilperi Şahinkaya, Ayşe Tolga, Hazar Ergüçlü, Yasemin Allen, Afra Saraçoğlu, Aslı Tandoğan, singers Elif Buse Doğan and Burak Kut.

The concert was broadcast live on Kanye West’s official YouTube account, reaching millions of viewers within minutes.
