Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that 41 ZACENS type cistern freight wagons will be produced by Turkish Rail System Vehicles Inc. (TÜRASAŞ) to be used in the fuel and supply operations of the Ministry of National Defense. Uraloğlu made a written statement regarding the ZACENS type cistern fuel and supply wagons, which are still being produced by TÜRASAŞ. Stating that railways are a strategic element in terms of defense, Uraloğlu emphasized that with this understanding, they support all kinds of work on railways that will strengthen the power of national defense.
Uraloğlu, which will be produced in Sivas, stated that they started a new production process after the 9 fuel and supply wagons produced by TÜRASAŞ and previously delivered to the Ministry of National Defense, and said: “Our domestic wagon support for the national defense of our country continues. We will produce a total of 41 new ZACENS type cistern freight wagons for the fuel and supply operations of our army, thus, together with the previous 9 units we delivered, a total of 50 domestic wagons will be produced.” We will put the wagon at the service of our army.
