6 Thousand 100 TL Additional Payment to Employees in June!

Due to the public holidays in May and Eid al-Adha, employees will be paid a total of 6.5 days of legal overtime pay within the scope of the June period.

With only a few days left until Eid al-Adha, millions of citizens are investigating how much their overtime wages will be. It is stated that with the addition of Eid al-Adha to the public holidays in May, employees will receive additional overtime pay exceeding 6 thousand liras. According to the Labor Law No. 4857, workers working on public holidays are paid additional overtime for each day they work. While overtime continues during holidays and public holidays, especially in sectors such as production, health, service, security and retail, overtime wages will be reflected in addition to the salaries of employees in these sectors.

6.5 DAYS ADDITIONAL WORK PAYMENT In this context, those who work on May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day, May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day and Eid al-Adha will receive a total of 6.5 days of additional overtime payment. Within the scope of Eid al-Adha, the eve of Eid al-Adha will be considered a half-day official holiday, and the 4 days of the Eid will be considered a full-day official holiday. For this reason, people who work only during Eid al-Adha will see a total of 4.5 days of overtime pay in their accounts.

A TOTAL OF 6 THOUSAND 100 TL ADDITIONAL PAYMENT: With the inclusion of the additional shifts on May 1 and May 19, employees will be paid a total of 6.5 days of additional overtime. According to the current minimum wage, the daily gross wage is 1101 TL, while the daily net wage is approximately 935 lira and 85 kuruş. In this context, approximately 4 thousand 950 TL gross additional overtime payment will be made to minimum wage employees who work only during Eid al-Adha, and approximately 4 thousand 211 TL net additional overtime payment will be made after deductions.

It is stated that with the addition of May 1 and May 19 overtime, approximately 6 thousand 100 TL net overtime pay will be deposited into the employees’ accounts.
