SINGAPORE (AA) – Echoes of Istanbul concert was organized by the Turkish Embassy in Singapore. The event, held in the world-famous botanical park Gardens by the Bay, one of Singapore’s symbolic areas, offered a feast of music and culture to the participants. Many diplomats, including Türkiye’s Ambassador to Singapore Sadık Arslan, Greece’s Ambassador to Singapore Christodoulos Margaritis, Qatar’s Ambassador to Singapore Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Singapore Francisca Kemi Omayuli, Turkish citizens living in Singapore, many Singaporean art lovers and foreign tourists attended the event.
The most distinguished examples of Turkish music were echoed in the event organized to strengthen the cultural ties between Türkiye and Singapore. Turkish works and ney recitals performed in the concert program received great appreciation from the audience. The zeybek dance show, one of the deep-rooted heritages of Turkish culture, received intense applause from the audience. Hundreds of audience members from different cultures created an enthusiastic atmosphere by keeping pace with the rhythms and applauding the songs throughout the concert.
In his speech after the concert, Ambassador Sadık Arslan expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown in the event. Arslan invited the audience to visit the Istanbul-themed Blue Beauties exhibition at Gardens by the Bay.
