ANKARA (AA) – After the Eid al-Adha holiday, Ankara Intercity Terminal Operation (AŞTİ) became busy due to returns. Those who went to their hometowns or holiday destinations for Eid al-Adha started their return journey after the end of the Eid holiday. At AŞTİ, where passenger density has increased, security measures have been increased to ensure that citizens can travel comfortably and peacefully and to avoid any disruptions.
Citizens were body searched, their luggage checked and taken to the terminal. Mehmet Esmer, who was waiting at the terminal to go to Istanbul, stated that he spent the holiday with his relatives. Saying that she was spending time with her grandchildren, Esmer said, “I had some trouble finding tickets. There was a shortage of tickets. Now I found them, I am returning to Istanbul.” he said. Natalia Vradi, who stated that she was waiting to go to the airport to meet her friend coming from abroad, stated that she was very happy to meet her friend.
