BERLIN (AA) – Supporting Palestine students held a demonstration in Germany's capital Berlin, demanding an "academic boycott" against Israel.

BERLIN (AA) – Supporting Palestine students held a demonstration in Germany’s capital Berlin, demanding an “academic boycott” against Israel.

A large number of students gathered in front of the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the Free University of Berlin (FU Berlin) and demanded that the university cut off its academic relations with Israel.

Demonstrators held banners saying “Students against genocide – Stop complicity”, “Anthropology students call for academic boycott” and “Boycott apartheid universities”.

Students noted that Israel committed genocide in Gaza and chanted slogans such as “Stop the genocide”, “Boycott Israel”, “Intifada from Berlin to Gaza” and “Freedom for Palestine”.

In the speeches made at the demonstration, FU Berlin was asked to end its cooperation with Israeli educational institutions and cut its academic relations.
