DÜZCE (AA) – A male body was found in the stream bed in the forest area in Düzce.
The couple, who went to the area to camp on the road connecting Samandere village of Beyköy town and Sinekli Plateau, saw a person lying motionless at the bottom of the fountain where they stopped to drink water.
After the couple reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
The teams arriving at the scene determined that the person found motionless on the rocks in the stream bed had died.
Upon examination, it was determined that the deceased was a man aged 45-50.
The body, which was found to have many sharp wounds, was taken to the Düzce University Faculty of Medicine Hospital morgue for autopsy after the prosecutor’s office examined it.
Gendarmerie started an operation to determine the identity of the deceased.
