ADANA (AA) – AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated that Turkey continues to stand out as the world’s “island of peace”. Çelik, in his speech at the Provincial Advisory Council Meeting and holiday program organized by his party at the Evliya Çelebi Practice Hotel in Adana’s Sarıçam district, said that the energy of their organization is warm. Stating that the party organizations are together as always, Çelik said, “We always show this brotherhood, unity and harmony.
All our friends who are engaged in politics in any period and at any level, who have been in active duty in the past and who are in other positions today are here. There is no active or passive duty in the AK Party. Everyone is always on duty.” he said. Çelik explained that the AK Party Adana Provincial Organization continues on its way as the biggest carrier of the political stance put forward under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Evaluating regional developments, Çelik said: “The crisis between Russia and Ukraine continues above Turkey. Unfortunately, genocide continues in Gaza in the south of Turkey.” The situation that emerged as a result of the unjust, unfair and unlawful attack of the United States and Israel against Iran in our east unfortunately has humanitarian, political and economic consequences. Some events are also taking place in the Balkans.
In the midst of all this, our Turkey continues to stand out as the island of peace in the world, which is envied and cherished. The great cause of Turkey, to which our President devoted his entire life, his brave, unhesitating and uncompromising struggle to fulfill the requirements of this cause, and of course the support given by you and those before you, have brought Turkey to this day. Let us never forget the importance of this.” Çelik stated that political operations were carried out against those who attempted to correct wrongs and eliminate distortions in Turkey in the past and said, “While they came to our President with known and unknown political assassinations and political threats in the darkest, most difficult times of tutelage and in the worst conditions of the world, while they tried to fall on all our political staff and party like a nightmare, they could not remove even a single party representative.

Emphasizing that youth is important, Çelik said, “Youth means dynamism, not being discouraged by fears, not stepping back from the obstacles that come your way, and continuing on your path even if you are threatened for what you know and believe in.
