ALEPPO (AA) – Eid al-Adha prayer in Syria was performed with intense participation in mosques and open areas across the country. Syrian President Ahmed Shara performed the Eid prayer with the public at the Abdullah bin Abbas Mosque in Aleppo. President Shara performed the Eid prayer in a city other than Damascus for the first time after taking office. People across the country gathered in mosques and open areas from the early hours of the morning and experienced the joy of the holiday.
While messages of unity and solidarity came to the fore in the sermons read after the prayer, a new beginning in solidarity was emphasized after the difficult times experienced by the Syrian people. After the prayers, Syrians visited cemeteries and prayed over the graves of their relatives. – Huge participation in the Eid prayer in Raqqa, which was liberated from the terrorist organization YPG. On the other hand, hundreds of people gathered at the municipal stadium for the Eid prayer in Raqqa.
Families came to the stadium from the early hours of the morning and celebrated each other after the prayer. Residents of the city had the peace of mind to welcome Eid al-Adha in a safer and calmer environment after Raqqa was liberated from the terrorist organization YPG. In the city that has been associated with conflict, destruction and forced migration for many years, intense participation in the Eid prayer attracted attention.
