GAZİANTEP (AA) – Gaziantep Natural Life Park has hosted 105 thousand visitors so far during the Eid al-Adha holiday. The park, which was established by the Metropolitan Municipality in 2001 in the Burç Forest on an area of approximately 1 million square meters, hosts more than 8 thousand animals from 380 species. The Natural Life Park, which is the largest zoo in Turkey and one of the largest zoos in the world in terms of area and the species it hosts, is experiencing a density of visitors due to the holiday.
Citizens from all over Turkey have the opportunity to see many species. Metropolitan Municipality Wildlife Conservation Department Head Celal Özsoyler told the AA correspondent that visitors from all over Turkey visit the Natural Life Park. Reminding that they set a target of 100 thousand visitors before the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, Özsoyler said: “We have hosted 105 thousand visitors in the Natural Life Park so far.
Visitors especially come to see ‘Çınar’, the child of the giraffe named ‘Şakir and Selvi’. They also come to the tropical butterfly center.
