Speaking at the rally held in Cumhuriyet Square in Izmir, CHP leader Özgür Özel said, “I call on Kemal Bey. Riot police teams intervened with TOMAs against the citizens attending the rally. After the intervention, Özgür Özel moved the rally to Gündoğdu Square. We will not allow the alliance of an absolute nullity and an absolute sultan. “DON’T DO THIS EVIL, DO NOT DIVIDE THE PARTY, DO NOT STOP THE MARCH TO POWER” – We could not succeed together, but we could not get anyone to listen to us anymore when we said it was self-criticism.
We became candidates, explained how we would govern, and then we kept our promise. We made the party the first party. Don’t do this evil. Don’t interrupt the party. Don’t stop the march to power. I will not enter into any compromise that would stop the march to power. I don’t bargain with anyone. I won’t sell my friends, I won’t turn back from this path. The situation we are in is not a day of personal reckoning. Nobody who this nation does not want can come and become a manager in the party.
