TRABZON (AA) – “My Hands Are Small, My Dreams Are Big Children’s Biennial Festival” was held in Trabzon for kindergarten students. Approximately 450 kindergarten students, who participated in the event organized by the Provincial Directorate of National Education, marched in a cortege from Kahramanmaraş Street to 15 July Martyrs and Hürriyet Park. Students read their poems, sang songs and performed folk dances here. Governor Tahir Şahin said in his statement that an event was organized that strengthens the family and society.

Stating that Trabzon has a strong family structure, Governor Şahin said, “With the strong family structure of Trabzon, we continue determinedly to become a strong society and a strong country. At this point, it is very valuable for us and our future that our families and schools act together in these ages when our children’s lives and personalities develop. This sensitivity is at a very high level in Trabzon. I congratulate all mothers and all families for the value and contribution they give to education.” he said.

Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ahmet Yüksel Gülay congratulated the teachers and parents who contributed to the event. Provincial Director of National Education Hasan Uygun also emphasized that pre-school awareness is very valuable and that every child should receive this education. Underlining that the event is important to raise awareness about pre-school education, Uygun said, “We all witness that children receiving pre-school education start to focus on life, learning and skill-based focus from a much further point than their peers.

These works are both an effort to raise pre-school awareness and a moment to share with you the joy and happiness of the work our children do throughout the year.” he said. The festival ended with the opening of the stands where the students’ works and projects were exhibited.
