ANKARA (AA) – FİRDEVS BULUT KARTAL – Katmerciler, one of the armored land vehicle manufacturers of the Turkish defense industry, has made its first delivery of the renewed HIZIR 4×4 Mine Protected Armored Vehicle. Within the scope of the purchase made by the Ministry of National Defense, the delivery of the new generation HIZIR vehicles developed in line with the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces has been completed. Developed in accordance with NATO standards, the new version HIZIR was designed to meet modern operational needs with its 3-door structure and 5 personnel carrying capacity.
The systems on the vehicles, produced by the Turkish defense industry, will function in an integrated manner. The new generation HIZIR, with its 400 horsepower engine power, draws attention with its 70 percent steep slope climbing ability, high mine and ballistic protection level, fully automatic transmission, high maneuverability and user-friendly driving features. Katmerciler announced that the remaining deliveries within the scope of the project will be completed by the end of the year and the production activities of the vehicles continue.

Katmerci emphasized that the HIZIR 4×4, which they renewed in accordance with NATO standards to adapt to the most difficult geographical and climatic conditions, will strengthen the Turkish soldiers’ power in the field with its superior mine and ballistic protection level.
Furkan Katmerci pointed out that this new version, in which subsystems developed by the domestic ecosystem are integrated, also reveals the point that engineering capabilities have reached, and made the following evaluations: “While we continue to be at the disposal of our army with the deliveries that we aim to complete by the end of the year, we will continue to contribute to our country’s export targets by carrying this success to international markets.
Foreign demands for the HIZIR platform continue to increase. Especially the intense interest from friendly and allied countries brings new cooperation opportunities. We aim to sign new international contracts within the year within the scope of our export-oriented growth strategy. In this regard, our interview and evaluation processes continue in different geographies.”
