Sacrifice donation from Turkish Red Crescent in Kosovo

PRISTINA (AA) – Turkish Red Crescent supported more than 3,500 families in need by performing a sacrifice in the city of Prizren in the south of Kosovo.

PRISTINA (AA) – Turkish Red Crescent supported more than 3,500 families in need by performing a sacrifice in the city of Prizren in the south of Kosovo. Turkish Red Crescent performed the sacrificial slaughter in Prizren, Kosovo, within the scope of the sacrifice slaughter organization by proxy. In his speech here, Turkish Red Crescent Kosovo Team Head Utkuhan Yıldırım said that they came together with citizens in the field within the scope of Eid al-Adha and carried a message of brotherhood and solidarity from Turkey.

Congratulating the people of the region on the Eid, Yıldırım said, “We brought greetings from Turkey and the Turkish Red Crescent. We are very happy to be together. Happy Eid al-Adha, may it bring blessings.” he said. Stating that the sacrifices were carried out under the supervision of the Turkish Red Crescent teams and under the control of veterinarians in line with the powers given by the donors, Yıldırım stated that the slaughters were carried out in accordance with Islamic procedures and hygiene rules, and that they aimed to deliver the meat of the sacrificed animals to more than 3,500 families in need throughout Kosovo.

Yıldırım said that as a sign of Turkish hospitality, they offered Turkish delight and cologne to the citizens after the Eid prayer. The meat of the sacrificed animals organized by the Turkish Red Crescent was distributed to those in need throughout the country with the support of the Kosovo Red Cross. On the other hand, Turkish Red Crescent will deliver sacrificial meat to approximately 30 thousand people in need in the Balkan countries Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo and North Macedonia.
