The Provincial Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate announced some roads and alternative routes that will be closed to traffic in two districts as of 11:00 today. In this context, İstiklal, Sıraselviler, İnönü, Mete, Prof. in Beyoğlu. Dr. Bedri Karafakioğlu, Boğazkesen, Ömer Hayyam (since Tarlabaşı Taksim separation), Atıf Yılmaz, Turnacı Başı, Hamalbaşı, Kamer Hatun, Yeni Çarşı, Meşrutiyet, Bostanbaşı, İlk Belediye, Hayriye, Asmalı Mescit, Cihangir, Tak-ı Zafer, Abdülhak Hamit, Galip Dede, Asker Ocağı, Tarlabaşı Boulevard, Refik Saydam, Dolapdere Taksim, Sakızağacı, Kalyoncu Kulluğu, Ömer Hayyam, Aynalı Çeşme, Tepebaşı, Tersane Street and all streets leading to this street, Irmak Cadde, Yedikuyular, and Taşkışla streets were closed to traffic.

There will be no traffic flow on the streets of Zambak, Meşelik, Mis, Billurcu, Balo, Sadri Alışık, Akarsu Hill, Defterdar Hill, Kazancı Hill, Kumbaracı Hill, Osmanlı, Dünya Sağlık, Selime Hatun Mosque, Çiftevav, Akyol, Halas, Nuri Ziya, Miralay Şefikbey, Çukur, Peşkirci, Demirbaş and Atatürk Bridge towards Taksim. Parliament-i Mebusan Street, Barbaros Boulevard, Cumhuriyet Street, Yedikuyular Street, Irmak Street, Piyalepaşa Boulevard, Bülent Demir Street, Bahriye Street, Fişekhane Deresi Street, Dereboyu Street, Melek Street, Evliya Çelebi Street, Irmak Street (from Taksim to Dolapdere direction), Akağalar Street and Kurtuluş Street can be used as alternative roads.

In Şişli, Taşkışla Street, Mim Kemal Öke Street, Cumhuriyet Street and Askerocağı Street were closed to vehicle traffic. Alternative roads were determined as Ortaklar Street, Abide-i Hürriyet Street, Mevlüt Pehlivan Street, Vali Konağı Street, Hakkı Yeten Street, Dolapdere Street, Darülaceze Street, Hrant Dink Street, Ebe Kızı Street, İzzet Paşa Street, Rumeli Street (the part between Nişantaşı intersection and Osman Bey intersection) and Halaskargazi Street.

In the statement made on Metro Istanbul’s social media account, it was stated that in line with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governorship, the Taksim station of the M2 Yenikapı Hacıosman Metro Line, F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular and TF Maçka-Taşkışla cable car line will be closed to operation as of 13.00 today until further notice. In the statement, it was stated that the Istiklal Street exit of the metro station in Şişhane will be closed to passenger use, and that passengers will be able to use other entrances and exits of the station, and the vehicles will not stop at Taksim station and continue their journey.
