KONYA (AA) – ZEHRA MELEK TUĞLU – Students of Meram Melike Hatun Special Education Vocational School in Konya are both preparing for social life and finding employment opportunities with the education they receive. School Principal İsmail Çetin told the AA correspondent that the school continues its education and training activities in the fields of accommodation and travel services, food and beverage services, handicraft technology and agriculture.

Stating that the students graduated with high school diplomas, Çetin said, “Here, with our 32 teachers and other assistant staff, we carry out studies to provide 83 students with the best professional skills in relevant fields and to enable them to continue their lives as a job owner in their future lives.” he said. Stating that students who choose a field in the 10th grade receive the necessary education until the 12th grade and prepare for the profession by doing internships in businesses, Çetin stated that businesses employ intern students after school.

We are proud to see them. We see that our disabled citizens and children can also be integrated into society. Our children come here willingly. We can feel the excitement in their eyes when they come. We share the visuals of the lessons with the parents. When the parents come to visit, they see what their children can do here.
