The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the world’s largest classic and retro motorcycle themed social responsibility event, was once again held in Istanbul, hosted by Galataport Istanbul Parcel Post Office. More than 650 registered motorcycle enthusiasts came together at the event held for men’s health awareness. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was reorganized in Istanbul. The event, which brings together classic and retro motorcycle culture with stylish clothing, is organized to raise awareness about prostate cancer and men’s mental health. The event also provides support to Movember, a global non-governmental organization that works in these areas. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, which first started in Sydney, Australia in 2012, has now become a global organization held on the same day in more than 110 countries and more than 1000 cities.
The year 2026 has a special importance as it is the 15th year of the event worldwide. At the meeting in Istanbul, more than 650 registered motorcycle enthusiasts came together at the Galataport Istanbul Package Post Office. The participants took a group ride in the city, accompanied by the historical texture of Istanbul and the Bosphorus line. At the event, classic and retro motorcycles, stylish clothing style and the historical atmosphere of Istanbul came together on the same route.
Attila Algan, one of the organizers of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Istanbul, stated that DGR Istanbul is no longer just a motorcycle ride. Algan defined the event as a stylish and meaningful community movement where people with similar tastes come together, integrate with the city. He said that elegance is not just a visual element here, but a strong communication language used to draw attention to men’s health issues.
Algan evaluated the coming together of hundreds of motorcyclists for the same purpose in the historical texture of Istanbul as a special sight. He stated that DGR Istanbul has turned into a special event that creates its own culture and community over the years. The global partners of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride include Triumph Motorcycles and ELF. Both brands have been supporting the growth of the event worldwide for many years.
This year, Breitling and Eleventy also supported the Istanbul drive. While Breitling participated in the event with its “Legendary Future” approach, Eleventy participated in the organization with its sense of style shaped by modern Italian tailoring. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride brings together classic and retro motorcycle culture, elegance and social awareness under the same roof with rides held on the same day in different parts of the world.
The Istanbul leg was hosted by Galataport Istanbul Parcel Post Office as one of the local meetings of this global movement.
