AMASYA (AA) – Due to the heavy rain that has been effective in Amasya for about 10 days, the flow rate of Yeşilırmak increased and the promenades along the river were flooded.
As the water level in Yeşilırmak, which passes through the city center, rose excessively, the stairs and bridge piers on Şehzadeler Gezi Road were submerged in water.
It was observed that the river reached its overflow point in the Ataşehir location.
In the statement made by Amasya Governorship, it was reported that the increase in water level in Yeşilırmak and its affiliated stream beds continued. Citizens were asked to be extremely cautious and careful against the risk of sudden floods and floods and not to stand by the river.
