The roads and bridges that will be free during the holiday have been announced!

As the 9-day holiday begins within the scope of Eid al-Adha, citizens who will pass through bridges and highways with their vehicles are wondering which routes are free.

Millions of citizens started to set out for their hometowns and holiday resorts as part of the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. While citizens, especially those living in big cities such as Istanbul, plan to spend their holidays outside the province, vehicle owners are investigating whether the bridges and highways on their routes are free of charge. In this context, with the Presidential decision that came into force after being published in the repeated issue of the Official Gazette, it was announced that no toll will be collected from the state highways and bridges under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM) during the holiday.

FREE DURING THE FESTIVAL Within the framework of the said decision, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, which are among the busiest traffic points in the country, will provide free service throughout the holiday. In addition, there will be no toll on the O1 routes, which include the highways within Istanbul and TEM connection roads, the O2, which covers the Istanbul ring and connection highways, the O3, which is the Istanbul-Edirne Highway, and the O4, which includes the initial sections of the Istanbul-Ankara Highway, during the holiday.

However, since private highways and tunnels serving with the build-operate-transfer model are not included in this regulation, citizens who will use these routes will continue to pay fees. DEADLINE IS MAY 30. On the other hand, it was learned that the free pass application started on May 26 and will end at 00.00 on Friday, May 30, 2026. With the transition to Sunday, the standard fee schedule will be re-applied on bridges and highways.

For this reason, citizens making travel plans during the holiday should take the specified dates into consideration in order to avoid paying additional fees and encountering violations of passage.
