BATTAMBANG (AA) – The tearful prayer of an 89-year-old man, who received aid in the sacrifice organization of the Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) in Cambodia, created emotional moments. TDV distributed sacrificial meat to a thousand more families in need on the second day of Eid al-Adha, within the scope of the organization carried out with the slogan “Share your sacrifice, get closer to your brother”. Foundation teams reached two thousand families by sacrificing 100 cattle on the first day of the Eid, and on the second day, they read the names of the power of attorneys according to Islamic methods and recorded a video and slaughtered 50 cattle.
While the meat of the slaughtered victims was being distributed and packaged, the teams reached the poor areas in Battambang, Pursat, Banteay Meanchey, Pailin and Siem Reap cities. Members of the Cambodian Muslim Teachers Association and the Cambodia Development Foundation also cooperated with TDV in the distribution. Cambodia Via Sacrifice Organization Convoy Manager Enes Sancak, Presidency of Religious Affairs Chief Inspector Bilal Aksoy and foundation volunteers Abdullah Durman and Ali Çakır visited families living in regions lacking infrastructure services.
Both sacrificial meat and basic food aid were delivered to families struggling to survive in tin shacks without drinking water and sewage infrastructure. – He prayed with tears. An 89-year-old old man living in the area visited by the teams was among the people who received aid. The old man, who received the sacrificial meat and food parcel sent by the Turkish people, did not leave the hands of the teams for a long time.
The moments when the old man, who could not control his tears, prayed and thanked the Turkish people, created emotional scenes.
