Under normal circumstances, employees who resign voluntarily cannot receive severance pay. HIGHER SEVERANCE PAY When calculating severance pay, the employee’s last gross salary is taken as basis. In addition, food, travel, rent, fuel, child allowance and regular payments are also included in the account as part of the gross wage.
However, holiday allowances, annual leave fees and one-time benefits are not taken into account. Only stamp duty is deducted from severance pay. Experts state that especially employees who are considering leaving their job or retiring should follow the new ceiling amount after July.
