İZMİR (AA) – Çeşme district of İzmir, one of the important tourism centers of Türkiye, is having an active holiday. Standing out with its beaches, bays, entertainment venues and gastronomy destinations, Çeşme welcomes tourists coming for the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. On the first day of the holiday, some holidaymakers cooled off by swimming in the sea in the hot weather. Some holidaymakers also visited the touristic places of the district.
Çeşme Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (ÇEŞTOB) President Orhan Belge told the AA correspondent that the extension of the holiday period is positive for the tourism sector. Osman Mert Sezer, who said that he and his wife came from Ordu for the Eid al-Adha holiday, said: “The weather is nice.” Since it is Black Sea weather in Ordu, it is rainy and gloomy. We came here, we felt a little better. Yesterday we spent time in Alaçatı and swam in the sea here. he said. His wife, Buse Sezer, also stated that they had a good time in Çeşme. Enes Öngün, who came with his friends from Tekirdağ, said that the weather was very nice in Çeşme and that they went swimming and walked around.
