Turkish Red Crescent distributed 2 thousand 100 shares of sacrificial meat in Sudan

KHARTOUM (AA) – Turkish Red Crescent delivered 2,100 shares of sacrificed meat to families in need in Sudan.

KHARTOUM (AA) – Turkish Red Crescent delivered 2,100 shares of sacrificed meat to families in need in Sudan. Turkish Red Crescent slaughtered 300 cattle in the capital Khartoum within the scope of the 2026 proxy sacrifice organization. In exchange for the slaughtered cattle, 2,100 shares of sacrificial meat were distributed to needy families in the region. On the other hand, 126 of the 1150 shares of overseas sacrifice donations made by the personnel of the General Directorate of Presidential Protection Services were made in Sudan.

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza and Sudan Red Crescent officials visited the slaughterhouse and inspected it. Hamza thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish Red Crescent and other non-governmental organizations for their assistance to Sudan. Turkish Red Crescent Sudan Team Head Cesur Dervişoğlu said that the Turkish Red Crescent brought the blessings of the sacrifice to the tables of those in need in 30 countries on 3 continents.

Stating that Sudan is going through a difficult period and the people of the region are in the recovery phase, Dervişoğlu said: “As the Turkish Red Crescent, we have been supporting the Sudanese people within the scope of humanitarian aid activities since 1998. During this period, we are trying to be a balm for their wounds. On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we slaughtered 300 cattle with the support of our donors. With the Sudanese Red Crescent, we delivered 2,100 shares of sacrificed meat to families in need in 4 regions.

“As the Turkish Red Crescent, we will continue to stand by our Sudanese brothers.” Haccac Sadallah, who received aid, expressed his gratitude to Turkey and the Red Crescent, stating that the Turkish Red Crescent has been providing assistance in the region for a long time.
