KAMPALA (AA) – Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) delivered 51 thousand 100 sacrifice shares to those in need within the scope of the 2026 Sacrifice by Proxy Program in Uganda. TDV volunteers and officials, who came to the country for the activity organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, completed the sacrifices and distribution in 10 regions. Muhammed Recai Çamurlu, responsible for the TDV Uganda Sacrifice by Proxy Program, told the AA correspondent that the sacrifice by proxy, which started on the first day, was completed without any problems on the third day of the Eid.
Stating that the number of sacrificial animals for Uganda, which was 7 thousand, reached 7 thousand 300 with ongoing donations, Çamurlu said, “We would like to thank our dear nation for the trust and confidence they have shown in our foundation. A total of 51 thousand 100 shares were delivered to more than 100 thousand families living in the regions at ten different points in the country without any problems. Within the scope of the program, our staff and volunteers gave various gifts to children staying in orphanages in the regions.
