NIAMEY (AA) – Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) started the slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals in Niger within the scope of the sacrifice organization by proxy. Preparations have been completed in Niger within the scope of the 2026 Sacrifice Organization by Proxy, jointly carried out by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and TDV. With the support of the local people, the sacrificial animals provided in different regions of the country were slaughtered, packaged and delivered to those in need.
It is aimed to slaughter 4 thousand 250 cattle in Niger and deliver approximately 29 thousand 750 shares of sacrificial meat to 160 thousand families in need. TDV Niger Coordinator Muhammet Bahattin Alkan told the AA correspondent that they, as the Turkish Diyanet Foundation, have been carrying out a sacrifice organization work in Niger for more than 10 days. Stating that they have completed all the preparations, Alkan said: We came to distribute the trusts of our nation to our brothers here.
Our cutting process has already started. On the other hand, we started distribution. It is currently about 41 degrees here, but our teams are doing their best to deliver the trusts of our nation to our brothers and sisters in need, God bless them. We are carrying out this glorious operation with our team of 41 people in 41 regions in Niger. Hopefully, we will have completed all our sections today and tomorrow.
