ANTALYA (AA) – With the event organized by the International Federation of All Disabled, Elderly and Orphaned Persons (UTEF) in Antalya, nursing home residents were given personal care before Eid al-Adha. A program was held at Antalya Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center under the leadership of UTEF and with the organization of Leman Gebizli Association of Hope for All Disabled, Elderly and Orphans. Volunteers celebrated the holidays by doing hair care, manicure, pedicure and make-up for elderly people living in nursing homes.
UTEF President and Umutışığı Association Founding President Güldane Kaya Kaçar stated in her statement that they frequently organize events in nursing homes. Emphasizing that they met with the nursing home residents at different events, Kaçar said, “We are very happy to have held such a meaningful event before the holiday. Our elders are our crown jewel. Meeting with them, kissing their hands and receiving their blessings is the greatest source of peace for us.” he said.
Award-winning hair design expert Ercan Buyruk also stated that he was happy to take part in the organization. Maryam Razaye, who has been running a beauty center in the city for 33 years, said that she once again felt how valuable it was to touch hearts and that it was meaningful to receive the prayers of elders.
