GUMULCINE (AA) – A traditional celebration ceremony was held at the Consulate General of Turkey in Komotini on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Many Turks from different regions of Western Thrace attended the program held on the second day of Eid al-Adha.
At the ceremony held in the garden of the Consulate General, compatriots, local administrators and institution representatives celebrated.
The guests attending the ceremony were welcomed by Turkey’s Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal.
Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board Chairman and Xanthi Elected Mufti Mustafa Trampa, Komotini Elected Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Turkish MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Özgür Ferhat, Friendship Equality Peace (DEB) Party Honorary President Işık Sadık Ahmet, DEB Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu and representatives of minority institutions and associations attended the celebration ceremony.
