KIRIKKALE (AA) – Those who spend the Eid al-Adha holiday in their hometowns cause congestion in Kırıkkale, which is called a key junction on the return journey.
There is a lot of activity in Kırıkkale, which is the highway connection point of 43 provinces, as people return from their hometowns on the last day of the holiday.
While vehicles are moving slowly, especially on the Kırıkkale-Ankara and Kırıkkale-Samsun highways, due to the traffic density, traffic police continue to work to prevent transportation disruptions.
Highways teams also temporarily closed some intersections on the Kırıkkale-Ankara and Kırıkkale-Kayseri highways to ensure regular traffic flow.
Traffic congestion on the highways is expected to continue until night hours.
