KARS (AA) – Nature in the Sarıkamış district of Kars, one of the highest settlements in Türkiye, was joyful with the flowers blooming after the showers and the migratory birds coming to the region. Migratory birds staying in the Acısu, Kızılçubuk and Sırataşlar village areas at an altitude of 2,300 meters surrounding Sarıkamış have the opportunity to both feed and breed in the wetlands. Scots pine forests and pastures adorned with colorful flowers are home to mallard ducks, lapwings, endangered and protected little vultures, and many migratory birds.
A small vulture was seen preparing its nest to lay eggs in the rocks. Migratory birds, whose numbers increase day by day in the region’s meadows, wetlands and breeding areas, create colorful images.
