ISTANBUL (AA) – The return home of pilgrims who have completed their pilgrimage in the Holy Land continues. The planes carrying the pilgrim group with Turkish Airlines (THY) and the Saudi Arabian airline company arrived at Istanbul Airport. Pilgrims arriving at the International Arrivals Terminal entered the dormitory after passing through passport control. The pilgrims experienced emotional moments as they hugged their families and relatives who welcomed them with flowers.
Sami Kayalı, one of the pilgrims who returned home, said that he had been waiting for many years to go on pilgrimage and that the emotions they experienced there were something completely different. Stating that the pilgrimage is a duty that must be done, Kayalı wished that the pilgrimage would be granted to everyone who wishes. Çiğdem Tatil, one of the pilgrims, emphasized that it was a great blessing to be in the holy land during the pilgrimage and said, “Allah gave us the blessing, I hope everyone will.
Now our goal is to continue our lives as pilgrims but in a way that suits us, to apply what we saw and experienced there to our lives, to be exemplary Muslims. It was very different. It cannot be explained, it can be experienced. I hope God will grant us the opportunity to go again.” he said. Mehmet Ekşi stated that he had been to the holy lands many times since he was a bus driver before, and that he experienced intense emotions during this visit.
Ahmet Erkan said, “From now on, our job is harder. We need to be more careful and not behave like before. Because we went to the house of Allah and circumambulated that place. We promised the Messenger of Allah, God willing, we will keep that promise. I waited ten years, it came out last year. I was disturbed, I postponed it. I petitioned again, it came out this year too, thank God. This feeling has no name. May God grant it to everyone, there is no greater feeling in the world.” he said.
Semra Çetinkaya also said, “We waited 13 years, thank God, everything was very good. May God grant it to everyone who wants it. They say ‘It cannot be explained, it must be experienced’, it really is. It can never be explained, it is necessary to live. The prayers of the pilgrims are accepted, we are both pilgrims and travelers. May God bless everyone’s pilgrimage and grant it to everyone’s children, inshallah.” he said.
