ISTANBUL (AA) – In Eyüpsultan, sacrificial meat was distributed to families in need under the coordination of Düğmeciler District Mukhtar’s Office and with the contributions of philanthropists. In his statement here, Düğmeciler District Headman Süleyman Özcan said that they have made the event a tradition for 7 years.
Stating that their aim is to ensure that the people of the neighborhood get together and those in need benefit from this application, Özcan said, “Our mukhtar’s office continues to provide service for all 3 days of the Eid. We bring together our citizens who sacrifice and those who cannot sacrifice here. We prepare our deep freezers two days in advance. We receive the meat of our neighbors who sacrifice and present it to our neighbors who cannot sacrifice.” he said.
Özcan thanked the philanthropists who contributed to the distribution of sacrificed meat. Neighborhood residents who received the sacrificed meat also expressed their satisfaction with the application and thanked Mukhtar Süleyman Özcan and the philanthropists.
